Created attachment 103791 [details] appletsrc with two redundant containment entries for the 2nd monitor (2&17) This is probably related to bug #372099 and bug #371858 I am now running Plasma on a ThinkPad x220 with a docking station that allows me to connect two external monitors. The internal screen is turned off once the laptop is docked. I started with setting up my desktop on the internal screen, and the configuration is transferred to the main external screen (HDMI-2) without problems. However, the configuration for the second external screen (HDMI-3) does not save correctly. I can set up a configuration (wallpaper, clock widget in upper left corner) for it just fine. But after detaching and re-attaching the laptop to the docking station for the first time, the second monitor displayed a default wallpaper and no widgets. Setting up this default view with the same wallpaper and a clock widget in the upper right corner, I detach and re-attach to the docking station again. Now, one of the two configurations is loaded randomly - either the one with the clock in the upper left, or the clock in the upper right corner. The behavior is better in 5.9.0 than it was in 5.8.x, in the sense that there is only one redundant configuration for the second monitor, instead of one getting created every time I dock, so it's an improvement. It's still one redundant config too much, however. If you need me to provide more information, do tell. I am attaching my current broken appletsrc
Is this bug still happening on newer Plasma versions?
