Hi,

when hovering the cursor over an icon on the task manager, a window thumbnail appears. However, there's a certain delay until the thumbnail appears.

On MS Windows, this delay can be adjusted.

Could you please add an option to adjust this delay? IMHO the delay is too long by default.

This is currently using the global tooltip delay and as of now I'm reluctant to change it or add an option because this is the first time we've heard this feedback. I'll keep the ticket open to allow others to chime in and will keep an eye on how users behave around the delay.

Actually I have already searched for a global tooltip delay option, but couldn't find it and then submitted this feature request.

Could you please tell me where that tooltip delay option resides?

There's no GUI option I think, but you can add+change this to your ~/config/plasmarc:

[PlasmaToolTips]
Delay=700

This needs a restart (kquitapp5 plasmashell and re-run plasmashell).

Okay, thanks a lot :) , that seems to work. And since MS Windows also doesn't have a GUI option for it, I guess we can resolve here.
