Description NW 2017-01-28 16:29:23 UTC
Hi,

could you please add an option to adjust the size of the window thumbnails that show up when hovering the cursor over an icon on the task manager?

Regards

Do you want them smaller or bigger?

Well, I'd like to make them smaller. That's because I have "Force fonts DPI" set to 120, which makes the fonts bigger, which in turn makes the window thumbnails grow unreasonably in size, because their surrounding frame grows with the larger font.

By the way, the app icon under the thumbnail also is unreasonably large.

Here's how it looks in Windows 7:

Here's how it looks in Windows 10:

So, while being at it, could you please also:

- Reduce the size of the frame around the thumbnails
- Reduce the size of the app icon inside the frame around the thumbnails
- Reduce the overall font size of the text inside the frame around the thumbnails
- Move the app icon and text from below the thumbnail to above the thumbnail (just like in Windows 7/8/8.1/10)

Regards

That's kinda what I hoped to hear, because in the tooltip rewrite for Plasma 5.9 we made them quite a bit smaller, along with the overall tooltip layout being more compact. I think basically your entire laundry list is addressed by the next version.
