Overview: If I create a folder on a Samba share, I am unable to paste files into it. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Copy a file. 2. Go to Places->Network->Samba shares->*some share* 3. Create a new folder on that share and open it. Actual Results: Pressing Ctrl+V does nothing. The context menu shows an option for pasting, but it's grayed out. Expected Results: Pressing Ctrl+V pastes. The Context menu shows an option for pasting, and it works. Build Date & Platform: Version 17.03.70 on the neon dev unstable 20170125-08:25 live USB. Additional Information: Workaround: Paste the file in the folder that you created the new folder in, and then move the file into the new folder.
Moving to kio-extras, which is where the SMB handler lives.
I can't reproduce. I can paste the file using ctrl+v and "Paste" from context menu. Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.15.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.56.0 Qt Version: 5.12.2
With Dolphin and KIO+KIO-Extras from git master, I can now reproduce this for all files and locations on Samba shares. The "Paste n item(s)" menu item is always disabled in Dolphin. Can anyone confirm or reproduce this?
