Description Wolf Drechsel 2017-01-24 16:56:58 UTC
When trying to fade in a title in white characters on a blue background, the "standard controls" on the time line will fade the title from black to the desired colour. Wouldn't it be more logical to change the behaviour of the "fade" effect on titles ? -

* at present, it fades in from black to the desired colour - which is an odd effect when your title is not black
* my idea is that it does not take black, but the desired colour as an origin - so you would not have a change when your title characters are black, but easier going with coloured characters.

See documentation; use transition (composite & transform) and use opacity setting with keyframes. See also the Kdenlive web site, Toolbox section.

Please use the G+ and forum to first ask questions before filing FAQ bug reports. Thank you very much for your cooperation.

I used the forum before, see here:
https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=270&t=138517

I know that the effect can be achieved, but I think that kdenlive does not behave very consistant and that easier handling would be a good thing.

I am closing this since it is not a bug, but if you have suggestions on usability improvements please share them at the forum and we'll elaborate something and add a feature request if the concept is good.

thanks
