Description Víctor 2017-01-24 16:12:10 UTC
Would be interesting an option in the Audio Volume Settings that the user could enable auto start the default music player immediately when connect the headphones.

Actual Results:

Nothing happens when the headphones are connect.

Expected Results:

if feature is implemented, the music player should starts immediately the headphones are connect.

I like the idea. Unfortunately, this isn't trivial.

- What devices should trigger it? Only regular headphone jack, or also USB headphones (I only use the latter)?
- What app should it start? I'm not sure we can tell the "preferred music player", just which app is associated with e.g. audio/* mime types
- Even if we start the app, we can't really control what it will play (ideally it resumes where it left off but we can't control that)

Hi.

- I think about jack headphones, but should be in general: jack 3.5 mm, usb.
- When I tell "preferred music player" I refers to your favorite music (or multimedia)Player: Clementine, VLC, Amarok, Cantata...

It's an interesting idea, but there are too many guesses that the system would inevitably get wrong for it to ever work acceptably well. And it's not so hard to just turn on your music player manually. :)
