Demo of the lines not tracking or smoothing correctly with different tools

When I opened up Krita, I picked a random brush. When I began to make circles I noticed that all circles, and curves in general, all start with a straight line and then continue with the curve. No matter what tool I use, or whatever setting, the program always makes curves that begin with a straight line. The problem doesn't persist when I go extremely slow, but with any bit of speed the lines end up not tracking correctly or smoothing correctly.

This is something within Krita and not the tablet, because when I open other drawing programs like Paint Tool Sai, the lines track correctly.

Hi Patrick,

This is not something that happens to everyone; it is something specific to your system. You'll need to tell us more about your system. Which version of Windows do you have, are you using the 32 or 64 bits version of Krita, what tablet do you have? What is the color model and channel depth and size of the image you're working on? Does it matter whether you enable or disable opengl (settings/configure krita/display), and if so, what GPU do you have and what is the driver version?

Hello there,

I have a Windows 10, 64-bit Operating system, and I'm using the 64 bit
version of Krita currently.
I am also currently using a Wacom Intuos 3. As for the Color mode or
Channel depth, I don't really know how
to get that information. I am very new to Krita, and some digital art
programs, in general. However, I did not change any
settings from what came with installation, and I use the preset image size
A3 at 300 PPI. As for Opengl,
there is no difference whether that is enable or disabled. Let me know if
you need more info.

Hm, I've also got Windows 10 and an Intuos 3. I wonder if there's some other hardware interfering -- we had some reports that razer's software does weird things.

Can you make a tablet log following these instructions:

https://docs.krita.org/KritaFAQ#Windows

?

This is known problem of wacom drivers on Win and OSX, from the docs "If you experience an issue where the start of the stroke is straight, and have a wacom tablet, it could be caused by the Wacom driver double-click detection."

Set "Tip double click distance" to "off"
