See the screenshot for visual. There’s not this problem in the task switcher.

which plasma theme use you and which icon theme?

Plasma theme is Breeze Dark (as mentioned on screenshots name)
Icon theme is Breeze (seems to has the issue with Breeze Dark though? I can’t spot any differences when changing back and forth between the two).

can you switch the the plasma theme to breeze and change the color scheme to breeze-dark

The icon appears white on grey on both cases. See attached screenshots.

confuse now the icon is white (follow the text color) so it work isn't it?

I don’t understand. I want my icons to be legible when I use the Breeze Dark Plasma theme, and I don’t want to use either Breeze nor the Breeze Dark color scheme.

I still have this problem in 5.9.4.
