For example try to drop a file on Firefox/Chrome browser or on QtCreator launched with xcb plugin.

See the Plasma 5.9 errata: no drag and drop to XWayland windows.

Fixed at least, not reproducible on Plasma 5.17.
Tested dropping a pdf file on firefox running in xwayland
