There does not seem to be anything wrong with the output. Which version of Hugin do you have installed on your system? Note that I too have an error with panorama and autooptimiser, but the error is on missing control points. Therefore, if you have the same version of Hugin (2016.2.0), the errors may be related, otherwise, we will have to investigate.
I cannot confirm this dysfunction here. I currently assemble a lots of panorama and mosaic huge image (around 20 JPEG - 200Mpx) from my trip in French Alps, and all work as expected with hugin 2016.2 and digiKam 5.7.0 pre-release. My system : Mageia 6 running on a small laptop DELL Latitude E6430 with 8Gb of RAM. Gilles Caulier
Gilles: Thanks for your comment. Hugin itself has abanndonned some libaries some time back. Instead of watintg for, I instlled a pps under UBUNTU mate 17.04, which runs fine.
