Reopening bug #297769 : "Hierarchically higher categories could show their color in stripes It would be nice to be able to organize categories hierarchically like in Kmymoney. For instance, you could assign "Work:Project Fury:Coding" to an event or a task. That way categorization would be much more precise. Choosing which category color to display would be a bit more complicated, but you could imagine having color stripes for each 'Work' and 'Project Fury' categories on the left hand side of the event/task (see the attached mock-up, where Work is in dark blue, Project Fury in green, and Coding in light blue)."
