Description Laptander 2017-01-07 14:35:19 UTC
When you use Switch Display function, your configured positioning of displays will always break.

I want to use a second display for my laptop. When I press Meta + P (win + P) or Display button, kde toggles between options (only laptop screen, only second screen, both screens with same picture, both screens with individual picture).

My second screen is located above laptop screen, so I placed it accordingly in system settings. But after toggling displays with win + P shortcut, second screen becomes located to the right of laptop screen.
It is unwanted behavior.

It won't always break, the display button cycles through a series of different, predefined configs. It may not restore your config, and it may not produce the results you expect, but it certainly doesn't *always* break.

I'm making this as dupe, since they're both essentially "what should happen on XF86Display button press?".
