Under View->Time Settings is the Option Refresh Interval. The default value is 60 seconds. Changes are possible, but after a new start of marble, this setting is again 60 seconds, changes are not saved.
I can confirm this setting. Increasing or decreasing this value becomes not saved. On a new start the default value is used.
