I'm using kOrganizer using an iCal file as its backing store. I just noticed that tons of (also even ancient) events in this file have a rather recent modification date although I did not actually touch a lot of events today: gunter@zzzz:~$ cat directory/kalender.ics | egrep '^LAST-MODIFIED:20170106' | wc -l 641 gunter@zzzz:~$ cat directory/kalender.ics | egrep '^LAST-MODIFIED:' | egrep -v '20170106' | wc -l 631 If I'm not mistaken and did not mess up the command above, this basically means that more than half of all events in my calendar have been updated today? If that's right, I think I might actually be fortunate that I was not able to get any calendar sync with another device to work so far - as any sync solution probably would have a hard time dealing with possible conflicts if so many events appear to be "changed"...

Due to too many bugs in kMail some years ago I stopped using it and switched to Thunderbird. I was not happy to have to make that choice, but since then at least I didn't lose access to my mails any more because some maintenance update does not work at all - as it happened more than once with kMail unfortunately. :-( So I cannot re-test.
