Description bob 2017-01-01 18:58:12 UTC
Description of problem:

Digikam reports free disk space improperly. It is off by 1000x. Example: If the disk has 1.4 GB of free disk space, Digikam reports it as 1.4 MiB of free disk space. Digikam also reports photo downloads as not being possible due to insufficient disk space when the camera download exceeds the amount of space that digikam is reporting to be available. This prevents downloads to a disk when there is enough space present for the download to occur.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

5.3.0

How reproducible:

With this version, always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Try to download pictures from a camera.
2. digiKam<2> window mis-reports free disk space in the status bar at the bottom of the window.
3.

Actual results:

Program hangs because it thinks it's running out of free disk space when it is not; downloads are interrupted.
