UPDATE:

The bugs occurs in Dolphin v16.12.0 and 16.08.3
Comment 2 Julian Steinmann 2018-04-29 10:56:01 UTC
I can use both Sort By and Additional Information with Dolphin 18.04 and the Document/Image/Audio fields. Can you test this again and confirm that this issue should now be resolved?
Comment 3 Cassiano 2018-05-04 00:52:19 UTC
I confirm that the bugs still occurs in version 18.04.0 on Arch Linux.
Comment 4 Julian Steinmann 2018-05-06 09:19:30 UTC
Huh, that is very weird. Do the attributes show up correctly if you type "balooshow <file name>" in a terminal? (They should because they do show up in the Information Panel, but you never know)
Comment 5 Cassiano 2018-05-08 15:40:44 UTC
The baloo was disabled, however enabling it does not solve the problem. Its shows the following message in terminal (in Portuguese):

[cassiano@arch ~]$ balooctl status
O Indexador de Arquivos Baloo está em execução
Estado da indexação: Ocioso
Indexados 53370 / 53370 arquivos
O tamanho actual do índice é 1,53 GiB

And the command balooshow prints the following message:

[cassiano@arch Test]$ balooshow ./test.flac
Não foi encontrada nenhuma informação do índice

I install only components of KDE which have the explicit utility for me. What is the applications/components needed for the fuctionalities citated in this ticket?
Comment 6 Julian Steinmann 2018-05-09 15:57:23 UTC
I am not sure which packages are required in Arch Linux, but both baloo & baloo-widgets should be installed.
Comment 7 Cassiano 2018-05-21 21:11:44 UTC
These two components is installed, but the absence of data persists. Have you new ideas for solve this?
Comment 8 Julian Steinmann 2018-05-24 12:14:37 UTC
I am sadly not an expert in bugs related to baloo, so I don't think that I can help you further. I do still believe that this issue is because of the indexer (as baloo should show the metadata from the shell), but I have no clue what could cause baloo to not extract the metadata. Maybe @Elvis knows more?
