Description CaBey 2016-12-29 20:49:06 UTC
Started render process: /usr/bin/melt6 /tmp/kdenlive_rendering_RI2294.mlt.mlt -profile atsc_1080p_30 -consumer avformat:/home/carsten/kdenlive/Julia/Julias_lustige_Pannen.mp4 progress=1 properties=x264-medium f=mp4 vcodec=libx264 acodec=aac g=120 crf=15 ab=192k preset=faster threads=1 real_time=-1
Rendering of /home/carsten/kdenlive/Julia/Julias_lustige_Pannen.mp4 aborted, resulting video will probably be corrupted.

I tried several rendering formats, but the error remained.
Configuration assistant shows no errors.

I also tried it with a very simple content, just one title. But the error remained unchanged.

Confirm! Same problem here.
On Google someone suggested to upgrade MLT but the problem is NOT solved (at least on OpenSuse)
Comment 3 Maurizio 2017-01-28 12:21:16 UTC
Problem remains also if you change the vendor from Packman to OpenSuse standard repos.
This problem needs a urgent fix since kdenlive is now completely useless.

Have the same problem. Tried it also with the newest version 16.12.2 and have the same issue.
Please fix this asap because its not possible to render a project.

Have read that the developers are working on new timeline features to make kdenlive more professional.

Thats fine but more important is to fix such big bugs.

Im really confused. Theres a bug since end of 2016 which makes kdenlive unusable but nothing happens.

A Video Editor without working Rendering function is like a car without a engine.

I cant believe that nobody is interested in this bug. Unbelievable!!!

Hello,

this is an audio problem. I found a workaround. Render Video without audio. Then render just the audio (mp3 works, wav not). The audio rendering will chrash by 99 percent but its completed.

Combine video and audio with avidemux (with the copy option - very fast and no new rendering neccessary) and you have the video.

A little bit circuitous way but it works.

PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE! Its very impede.

Workaround dosnt work by bigger Projects (more then 2-3 minutes) and some transitions and effects.
My Project crashed by 65%. Also without Audio.

Im going crazy!

Read on the Internet that someone suggested to check if packet frei0r-plugin is installed and, in a positive case, remove it.
On my system it was installed.
Removed and immediately all works smoothly!

As this clearly is a distribution packaging issue and the only ppa we directly support are the Kdenlive stablr and master ppa, please understand that we close this bug report. There is nothing we can fix in Kdenlive here. Thank you for your cooperation.
