Description Daniel Moyne 2016-12-22 12:55:00 UTC
When I switched from kubuntu 10.04 to kubuntu 16.10 I lost the possibility to edit french text with ^ or ¨ accents on some characters like a, e, i, o, etc...
Before the dead key keyboard was working with dead key. To get only ^ I had to do it twice and to get ô I had to do once ^ and then o.
Everything works fine with for example libreoffice writer with a default french keybard while there is no way to get simply ^ or ¨ with kate, kmail, etc...
I tried all options in keyboard configuration. With some settings I can get ^ or ¨
characters but never ô or ï.
