When I click on the system load viewer applet which I have put aside the systray, it opens the System Monitor window. However clicking a second time on the applet opens _another_ System Monitor window instead of just hiding the one just opened on the first click. This does not make sense and it is a regression to how it worked in KDE4/plasma
The regression lies not in the SystemLoadViewer itself. In KDE4, it seems the system monitor was built-in (also in krunner, there was a button to show it). In order to fix this, either the KSysGuard needs to be a unique application, or the applet needs to maintain a connection to the process and raise the window in case you click again. Can you provide a patch? :-)
Is this still an issue or relevant with the new System Monitor applet in Plasma 5.19 and beyond?
I can't say since I stopped using plasmashell some years ago
