Description ryeb 2016-12-10 20:12:11 UTC
The Position and Zoom effect hasn't worked since version 16.04.2. In versions 16.08.1 - 16.08.2 on Fedora the following happens:

1. Enable Position and Zoom on a video clip
2. Add a few keyframes
3. Change the video clip's zoom and position (ie: zoom in to the top right at 200%, then zoom back out to 100%)
4. The Project Monitor shows the red boarder and white dot in the middle. The white dot moves, but the actual video clip doesn't.

In the Kdenlive-16.12-rc-x86_64 AppImage version from Dec. 1, 2016 (17.03.70) there are improvements. The Position and Zoom effect can work, but:

1. When you enable Position and Zoom on a video clip, it automatically adds a keyframe near the beginning of the clip
2. Everything before or after that keyframe is black in the Project Monitor
3. You need to manually add key frames to the beginning and end, as well as centre them
4. After, you can delete that first keyframe that was automatically created
5. You can then use the effect normally

I cannot reproduce this in kdenlive built from git under arch linux. As for AppImage I haven't tested...

I just tested the latest AppImage with all the bug fixes from Dec. 12th. The Position and Zoom effect is working again :) !

Thanks for testing the git version.
