Created attachment 102700 [details] Screen Shot Running OpenSuse 42.2 beta on Asus laptop. After a recent update, all windows disappear as well as the task bar leaving just the desktop background. Seems to be related to the machine not being used and attempting to hibernate. Unable to recover from this and have to reboot laptop.
And this happened just once, or repeatedly? Please re-set the status to unconfirmed when you reply.
The bug is reproducible and is related to switching the screen off due to power saving settings. When the screen is turned off after the specified time, the windows disappear but the background is left. Setting the screen to be always on avoids the problem. A possibly related bug is when you attempt to Suspend/Power Off the machine via the Desktop, the windows blur and then the machine hangs. Switching to a different virtual terminal still works and I can shutdown the laptop from there.
Con I've just tried to replicate this issue on Plasma from git master but I cannot. Can you please test and confirm if this issue is still occurring or if this bug report can be marked as resolved, thanks.
