Description rens 2016-12-06 14:01:53 UTC
file open / save / save as dialog is slow if automounted filesystems are not available (nfs, smb, etc )

disabling automount makes the problem go away.......

Just to make sure people know this is "real", I also have this problem.

When having the autofs service enabled, file open dialogs etc hang, apparently while trying to mount the (not available) file systems. Disabling autofs immediately "solves" the problem.

Looks like I got same problem.
Reported it on
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=388004

Seems to be combination of autofs and KDE-File Dialog.

Details see on my abbove bug-report.

Additional Infos that might help:

In my case:

- KDE
- autofs
- drives/folders autofs-mounted by CIFS*

*that is the combination I have troubles with
(However, couldn't otherwise (NFS) get proper results: rights, ownership, etc.)

Is this still valid?

(Nitpick: IMHO resolved:worksforme would have been a better fit since we don't know which commit/change fixed it).
Comment 10 rens 2020-06-16 09:55:41 UTC
