Hi, 

Inside new > custom document > content > image background color , When I tried entering the HTML hex color/number. No values would enter.

Hm, I can get it to work, but maybe the problem is that it requires you to finalise the action? Are you entering it in colorname?

Works for me as well, and this is a default KDE/Qt color dialog -- no Krita specific code. Could you add a screenshot or something to show what you're trying to do?
