Description jure.slak 2016-12-02 00:26:21 UTC
I have a folder with ~200k text files inside, call it data/. When I am in the parent directory and I hover over the data/ directory with a mouse,
dolphin freezes for ~5 second, before being operational again. If I hover again after that, nothing happens. I understand that it takes some to list all the files when entering the data/ directory, but accidetially hovering over it when trying to open a different folder and having to wait for 5 seconds is somewhat annoying.

Do you have "preview" option on while doing so?

Yes, turns out I do. I did not even know this option exists, it seems to be turned on for forlders by default.

Does this still happen with a newer version of Dolphin? I cannot reproduce this issue with Dolphin 18.04.

We would need to know whether this crash still happens with a newer version of Dolphin to triage the bug further. Thanks for reporting!

I cannot reproduce the bug in my current version 18.04.2 as well.

Okay, thanks for the response :) I'll close this report then, please reopen if you do still experience this issue.
