Description evea 2016-11-22 18:33:10 UTC
Monitor setup:
Secondary monitor || Primary Monitor
Panel position: Left side of the primary monitor.

When using the magic lamp effect (makes the bug most apparent) and you minimize a window on the primary monitor, the window will fly all the way to the left of the secondary monitor where no panel is located.

If you minimize a window on the secondary monitor, the window folds its self on the left side of the screen.

The geometry where to minimize to is set by Plasma

Whoa, super weird! Any chance you can test again in Plasma 5.11? There's been some multi-monitor improvements since 5.8.
Comment 4 evea 2017-12-14 01:25:20 UTC
I don't use this setup anymore because of multiple bugs, but I did a test setup where it is still the same with 5.11.

Thanks for the info!
Comment 6 Angelos Skembris 2018-03-05 09:30:34 UTC
I have the exact same setup and the problem is still there, exactly as described in the original post, in Plasma 5.12.2 on openSUSE Tumbleweed.

Looks like an old issue. Setting it to needs more info.
Please try with a newer version(plasma 5.23.5) and if this is not an issue any more let us know.

    Is at least 15 days old
    Has not received any comment within 15 days
