Description Aaron Digulla 2016-11-21 19:57:02 UTC
Can't logout or restart anymore. When I select "logoff", KDE asks me what I want to do *again* (plus 30 Second timeout). Then something crashes. Here is the log:

Application: ksmserver-logout-greeter (ksmserver-logout-greeter), signal: Segmentation fault
Using host libthread_db library "/lib64/libthread_db.so.1".

This is with the NVIDIA binary driver version 375.10 (I have a ASUS 1050 Ti with Pascal architecture).

This worked yesterday; it started to fail after updating these packages:

I can reboot from the console. It feels like this is a bug somewhere in the 3D code of Mesa and NVIDIA but I don't know how to proceed.
Comment 1 Aaron Digulla 2016-11-21 20:03:35 UTC
Upgrading to NVIDIA 375.*20* fixes the problem.

I am seeing this to with nvidia-378 driver on Ubuntu 16.10. Not sure if it only occurs after updating nvidia driver or more frequently.
