Every time I close kontact/kmail, it crashes. As other components of kontact don't crash on exit, it's probably kmail... ;-)
Kubuntu 16.10 somehow doesn't give me debug packages, so I can't provide much more info. The only hint I have so far is the exit codes of kontact:

Pass a valid window to KWallet::Wallet::openWallet().
