Sai Option

Problem:
I have my side button set up in my wacom settings to be Spacebar.
I go to the Canvas Input Settings and then under Pan Canvas set it to pan by holding spacebar and then left clicking. Then when I try to use my keyboard spacebar and then using my stylus to press down and move it works as intended and pans.
But then when I use my side button registered to do the same thing the pan hand icon comes up but I can't actually pan.

I did some looking in Paint tool sai since it works there and it turns out there is a menu for the pen buttons where you can disable the side buttons and if you leave it as default there is the exact same problem.
It seems like there are multiple signals being sent or something similar so maybe the solution would be to have an option disable one of them. I included a screenshot of the option in Sai, maybe that helps explain it better.

Setting the side button to spacebar is a workaround; you shouldn't do that as a global option, but only for the applications where it makes sense. Make a wacom settings profile specifically for Krita which uses the default Wacom settings for the buttons. Then by default, one sidebar switch will pan in Krita, the other call up the popup palette.
