If I try to update a birthday item that is put into the calendar by KAddressBook (such as delete the event or change the event color), I get the usual message "You are not the organizer...". If I go ahead and make/allow the change, KOrganizer stops updating its associated CalDav file (Matt_Cal.ics), but oddly enough keeps its events correctly. If I delete the .ics file, all events disappear from calendar (as expected). But if I restore a backup copy (older info) the events show -- but are newer info (not same as backup). This happens with any birthday (not just one) that comes from KAddressBook. Also, if I delete the birthday info from KAddressbook, the event remains in the calendar. The only clue I can offer is that the file: agent_config_akonadi_davgroupware_resource_#_changes.dat looks strange after making the above change. When I first caught on to what was happening, it had grown to be over 1k in length and had a bunch of (seemingly) repeating information in it (directory & file names and such). In order to fix this, I have to delete the calendar/resource and recreate it... and have to delete and recreate the CardDav file/resource (again, some kind of mismatch). So basically I have to start over. But once recreated, restored backup files display and work correctly. This is repeatable for me - at least the three times I've tested it while trying to figure out why my phone calendar would not update (using DavDroid). Thank you, Matt

update... After further research, I've found that there is as "ORGANIZER:" line item in all offending entries which was set to mattz_email... whereas all items/events that respond correctly did not have an "ORGANIZER:" line item entry. I have no idea where these items originated. I went into the .ics file and deleted all entries with ORGANIZER line (and re-entered in calendar) and now everything seems to be working ok. So I'm not sure if this is a bug or not. HTH, Matt Z.

Since reporting this bug, I switched to Thunderbird (lighter on resources & more focused on my specific need - only email, calendar, address book) because I do not need a 'suite'... so I cannot give further info on this bug... sorry... - Matt Z.
