Suppose I have a pair of 5 minute clips in the timeline, which were recorded within a few second of each other. Sometimes if I tell kdenlive to align them by audio then it might put one at a 3 minute offset. To work around this, I would like to be able to cut the clips so that I have only a few second of each that I know overlap, and tell kdenlive to align them. However, kdenlive still seemingly looks at the entire clip, and puts them at a 3 minute offset again. Please add a way to align based on only the part of the clip that is being used.
Try with the feature: - set audio reference - align audio to reference.
That is what I was doing. Sometimes it gets it wrong, and when it does, it is not possible to work around it by cropping to a small section of the clips.
Please try with the actual Kdenlive version 18.08.1
