Description igloo 2016-11-01 00:01:15 UTC
Suppose I have a pair of 5 minute clips in the timeline, which were recorded within a few second of each other. Sometimes if I tell kdenlive to align them by audio then it might put one at a 3 minute offset.

To work around this, I would like to be able to cut the clips so that I have only a few second of each that I know overlap, and tell kdenlive to align them. However, kdenlive still seemingly looks at the entire clip, and puts them at a 3 minute offset again.

Please add a way to align based on only the part of the clip that is being used.

Try with the feature:
- set audio reference
- align audio to reference.
Comment 2 igloo 2018-10-11 18:49:13 UTC
That is what I was doing. Sometimes it gets it wrong, and when it does, it is not possible to work around it by cropping to a small section of the clips.

Please try with the actual Kdenlive version 18.08.1

As it has been a while since this was reported, can you please test and confirm if this issue is still occurring or if this bug report can be marked as resolved.

Please try with the current Kdenlive AppImage version 20.12.2 https://download.kde.org/stable/kdenlive/20.12/linux/
