Video showing the issue

I've an Asus N56VZ laptop with Intel Graphics as my GPU on it. I'm using i915 driver and the brightness can be controlled via /sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/brightness file.

When I use keyboard hotkeys to lower the brightness further than a level it goes back and forth as it becomes close to zero, sometimes it completely shuts down the screen and pressing down again restores it to some level. I'm attaching a video which I'm continuously pressing Brightness Down button.

I can confirm the same applies to me.
Kde Neon user edition, plasma 5.12.1
Acer aspire.

Changing screen brightness with Fn+arrow (in x11 only, in Wayland it's perfectly ok), randomly does not work.
Wheter I'm raising or lowering it, sometimes the slider shows strange progress and the brightness bounces up and down randomly.

I literally have no idea of why it is happening.
