Created attachment 101784 [details] Kscreen log Connect HDMI > Close the lid > Open the lid When I have an external HDMI monitor connected and I close the laptop the current kscreen configuration is renamed appending the suffix lidOpened and a new one with the same identifier is created. In this way I can configure the monitors in different way depending if the lid is open or not. The problem is that when I open the lid again the *_lidOpened config file is removed (probably renamed causing the overwrite of the other configuration) and only one config files remains, losing the configuration of the case when the lid is closed. Closing the lid indeed results in a wrong configuration of the screens. The attached kscreen.log incudes the following operations: Connect HDMI > Close the lid > Open the lid
Created attachment 101785 [details] Lid closed config file before opening the lid
Created attachment 101786 [details] Lid opened config file before opening the lid
I can confirm this behavior with KScreen 5.8.4.
The original bug seems solved to me, but now the exact opposite happens: The configuration with laptop lid OPEN is overwritten when lid is CLOSED
