Description ste.callegari 2016-10-21 14:34:30 UTC
I have 2 profiles saved: 'terminal' (the default) and 'mutt' (used only for
this MUA).

Also I have 2 shortcuts to open konsole and mutt: Meta + T for Konsole
and Meta + M for mutt (I have set execute in konsole with '--profile
mutt' in this case).

Until I use Meta+T KDE opens the terminal, but after I use Meta+M to
open mutt then Meta+T still opens mutt (into a konsole with profile
'mutt') and when I close mutt also the konsole closes.

Same situation when I try to open konsole by kde menu or by Alt+F2 but not
if I launch konsole inside a open konsole.

Right mouse -> Switch Profile doesn't work.

Thanks

Stefano

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create 1 more profile for mutt (named 'mutt')
2. With "KDE Menu Editor" edit mutt and adds to terminal option '--profile mutt'
3. Adds also a shortcut (Meta+M)
4. Edit konsole and adds a shortcut (Meta+T)

Actual Results:
Press Meta+T -> open konsole
Select konsole on kde menu -> open konsole
Alt+F2, digit konsole -> open konsole
Press Meta+M -> open mutt
Press Meta+T -> open mutt
Select konsole on kde menu -> open mutt
Alt+F2, digit konsole -> open mutt

Expected Results:
Press Meta+T always open konsole

This was originally reported in the Debian bug tracker:
https://bugs.debian.org/841502

From what I could reproduce, launching a second konsole from krunner or the kde menu calls the new window dbus action. Which seems to be using the original command arguments to select the profile, (instead of profile configured as the default).

In a follow up of the Debian bug it's mentioned that the window doesn't follow the dimensions change. I think this is a completely different issue.

Ok, but I have added this to inform someone who maybe thinks that if switch
the profile, it closes mutt and it opens konsole. Only for this.

Thanks

This is probably the same bug as #371863

I think so too, should be fixed in 16.12.0 then.
