We only use the KAdressbook for addresses. It shouldn't be too hard to=20 import your lbdb addressbook (whatever this is) with KAddressbook as=20 KAddressbook has a pretty good (customizable) import filter. Well that worked but with lbdb every incoming mail's From: is incorporated into the addressbook automatically (via a procmail recipe). So I have to import periodically (even though I can pipe every incoming mail to the lbdb address snarfer in kmail). Also lbdb can use a variety of sources to get email addresses (Pine addressbook BBDB LDAP finger Gnome card etc.) lbdb is homed at http://www.spinnaker.de/lbdb I will restate the wishlist item: I would love to have a facility in kmail by which I can query an external program to get addresses. Eg: In mutt with set query_command="lbdbq %s" where the query is substituted for the %s and the program is run outputting a set of matching addresses. I just select the one I want and it is inserted into the To: field automatically. With VM it gets better - the address in inserted at the point - which could be anywhere including Cc Resent-To etc. - even the body of the email. External query needn't be limited to lbdb. Binand
