Description lehmax 2016-10-17 19:07:23 UTC
It would be great to have an option to upload screenshots to https://ipfs.pics/. Since it's open-source and decentralized it should align with KDE's philosophy.

Reproducible: Always

The sharing option is part of the Purpose library, so adding Aleix for that.

Aleix, do you think that this would be something to add?
Comment 2 Aleix Pol 2016-10-20 21:10:16 UTC
It would certainly be a nice addition, moving bug to purpose.
I don't think I'll be able to work on it for now, though.

Hey Aleix, I think I will be able to provide support for uploading of images through a KIPI plugin to IPFS through https://globalupload.io/ ? I was wondering if you have any pointers to before I push a patch? ( for example, should I file a new bug?)

No need to file a bug report. Bear in mind this bug report though is for Purpose which is separate from Kipi.

Hi Aleix! So I understand that there is a difference between Purpose and Kipi but I was able to cobble a kipi plugin for ipfs (https://github.com/amar-laksh/kipi-plugins) could you help me in how do I get this one in upstream?

you need to submit it as a patch to phabricator.kde.org.
