Since 2016-10-16 ~20:00 both on Linux Mint 18 KDE edition and Kde Neon with all upgrades done shows time from UTC -3 and shows time zone Istanbul LMT instead of UTC +3. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Set time zone to Istanbul 2. look at the panel clock 3. See that it shows 6 hours less than the actual clock. Actual Results: as of creating the bug, time at istanbul is 09:22, panel clock shows 03:22. Expected Results: as of creating the bug panel clock should show 09:22 not 03:22 Turkiye has discarded summer time a while ago, it may have changed tzdata, but every place (terminal, hexchat, telegram, etc) shows the right time except for panel clock.
Confirming this. KDE Plasma 5.5.5 here, setting Istanbul timezone displays wrong time on panel clock as reported above and it is really annoying.
doesn't appear to be reproducible with 5.8 does this still happen on updated packages?
(In reply to Marco Martin from comment #2) > doesn't appear to be reproducible with 5.8 > does this still happen on updated packages? i am on neon, KDE Plasma 5.8.1, and still having this problem.
to confirm the setup details, is the system timezone set to istambul or just the clock plasmoid?
http://imgur.com/oxN3XHz as you can see, clock settings actually know what time it really is. but at the panel (top right) clock it shows UTC -6. is there a way to create some sort of debug log about this?
