It seems to me that the CTRL tool does not behave as intended with the circle tool. I would expect that CTRL would centre the circle on the position of the click that create the circle, but it does not do that. Plus, it seems that I cannot snapp the circle's centre to a grid/guide. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. use the circle tool by cliking on the canvas 2. press CTRL after having dragged the mouse away from the first click position 3. try also to snap the centre of the circle to a guide/grid.
Hi Geoffrey, Pressing ctrl doesn't recenter the circle, but it changes the way the circle grows. Snap to grid works here, if I make sure it's enabled.
Hi Sorry, but I believe that there is a misunderstanding. On my machine, CTRL forces the circle to hold its center aligned with the center that it had when I pressed CTRL. Otherwise, the circle is holding its left-top corner aligned with the left-top corner that it had when I released CTRL (or where I clicked first, if I clicked with CTRL released). I think that, in other applications, when pressing CTRL, it is usual that the circle holds its center aligned with the initially clicked position. The snap tool help to control the size of the circle when holding CTRL is either pressed or released. One could use the ALT key to move the circle around, however, it seems impossible to get the center snapped on a grid intersection, because: 1) there is no visual feedback of where is the center of the circle, 2) that is the top-left corner that snaps with the grid. Can you confirm all my points?
