Description TonyP 2016-10-16 14:40:13 UTC
Using Genre/Album Artist view, where I have more than one album by a given artist in that genre, only tracks from one album are shown under the artist's name.

Specific example:
I have two albums, 'Oy Oy Oy' and 'Remixed' by 'The Amsterdam Klezmer Band', where the Genre is Klezmer.
Looking under 'genre/Album artist', I see only tracks from 'Remixed' Under 'The Amsterdam Klezmer Band'.
Under 'Genre/Album artist/album' both albums are visible.

Suggested quick fix: get rid of 'Genre/album artist view' and have only 'Genre/Album artist/album', view, which is more useful, and in fact shows what I expected to see under 'genre/Album artist'.
:-)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Label two different albums by the same artist with the same genre
2.Look at them under 'Genre/Album Artist'
3.That's all

Actual Results:
Only tracks from one of the albums shon under the album artist's name.

Expected Results:
All tracks from the album artist of this genre should be shown

You do realise you can change the display order yourself, do you? The default display order is just a suggestion, it's up to the user to choose what suits them best.
FWIW, I rarely sort by genre, for example, so this is your specific use case
FWIW2: since the upcoming Amarok 2.9 is more than 500 commits ahead of the version you use, I wouldn't be astonished if that were already fixed anyway.

I set this to wishlist and to be resolved later, as we do not work on the Qt4-based version anymore after the 2.9 release.
