Description oluja 2016-10-14 14:17:14 UTC
Adding the effect fade from black or fade to black and try to change the length of the effect, is not possible between 23 seconds and 1 minute. Change the time manully to example 30 seconds and press enter, it jumps back to 1 minute 6 seconds. Click on the arrows to change it there, it jumps from one minute to 23 seconds. Also higher times have this timejumps and its not possible to change the length to an exactly time. But to reproduce it choose the time with 1 minute and you will see.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. add a clip
2. add fade to black or fade from black
3. in the effect properties change the length like i discribed

Actual Results:
time is lower or higher

Expected Results:
accept the correct time

Forget this informations. Using ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS brand new installed and kdenlive 16.08.2. The latest version i cann choose by the bugtracker is 16.08.1. This is the reason why i choosed 16.08.1

Just to be on the safe side: do you mean that for a 25fps project the timecode 00:00:00:24 is followed by 00:00:01:00? (24fps: 00:00:00:23 --> 00:00:01:00) If this is what you refer to, then there's a misunderstanding regarding the timecode fields; the timecode format is hh:mm:ss:ff, where ff are frames, not seconds, and not fractions of a second.

Wegwerf, once again you opened my eyes and you are absolutely right. This was a totally a muísunderstanding from my side. It really depends on the frames. I set it to 60 frames and can now choose 60 frames. This means 1 second and 50 frames as example.

This is really great that i can define not only seconds but frame lenghts. I love kdenlive (and you developers) more each day. Thumbs up guys!

Thanks Wegwerf for your explanation and you support!

So ist nu a bug, its a coooool FEATURE!

Regards, Oluja!
