correct - did you catch the top line saying "any adjustments are only temporary to this session"? Use Edit Profile->Scrolling
I didn't mean that. I meant that the popup "Adjust Scrollback" always has "1000 lines" in the input field regardless what you set earlier.
OK, thanks I totally misread this. Have you upgraded to a more recent version? It should be fixed in 16.12 or later.
I am running 16.12.1 at the moment and still experience this bug.
I can reproduce using the steps from comment #0 on master. I set a very small fixed size, but the current session still uses what was configured in the global settings and happily recorded far more lines than I had temporarily set.
I see the same on 16.12.0. I see that the size set in the profile is also ignored. No matter where i change the scrollback size (profile or session), it is always forced (back) at 1000 lines.
I can't reproduce on the last versions. Anyone else try 17.12.x or master?
I can still reproduce on 17.08.3. Behaviour has somewhat changed though. The entered value seems to be used for the history, but opening the dialog again will show the default of 1000 again instead of the current value.
I recall fixing this - it doesn't happen w/ latest version.
