When clearing the search bar, the selection goes to the previously selected album even if a new album was clicked during the search. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Select an album (i.e. A) 2. Search for B 3. Click on album B to view it 4. Clear the search bar 5. Album A is selected automatically... Expected Results: Stay the latest selected album.
Do you mean the text search bar under the album tree view? I can not reproduce the problem here. Gilles, can you reproduce it? Maik
Not reproducible here too. Frédéric, do you have some filter enabled in background ? Gilles Caulier
Gilles, No, I have no filter in this case. And yes, I'm using the search bar under the album tree view. It's strange that you cannot reproduce it : I can reproduce it with the old Digikam 4.14 on Fedora 23 (in fact, it's an old bug which is still present in Digikam 5). To be more accurate : 1. Select an album (i.e. Apples) 2. Type three letters like 'ban' (the search bar is green) 3. Click on album Banana to view it 4. Click on 'clear' icon in the search bar 5. Album Apples is selected automatically...
Can you reproduce the problem using digiKam Linux AppImage bundle ? The last bundle is available at this url: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0BzeiVr-byqt5Y0tIRWVWelRJenM Gilles Caulier
Yes, I can reproduce it easily with the latest appimage
I cannot reproduce this behavior either with Digikam 6.0.0. @Frédéric, do you still experience this problem? SYSTEM INFO Operating System: KDE neon Testing Edition KDE Plasma Version: 5.15.80 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.58.0 Qt Version: 5.12.0 Kernel Version: 4.18.0-17-generic
