Description Ruedi Hofer 2016-10-09 08:34:11 UTC
Dear all
Very simple: When I hover over the top menu bar, the menu's Color / Enhance / Decorate / Effects don't drop down. The other menu's File / Edit / View / Transform / Settings / Help .. they work and drop down. Clicking on a menu doesn't help either.
I have this only with 5.2 whereas 5.1 was ok.

I'm running

Build date: Sep 25 2016 (target: Debian)
(c) 2002-2016, digiKam developers team

KDE Frameworks 5.23.0
Qt 5.5.1 (built against 5.5.1)
The xcb windowing system

LSB Version: core-9.20160110ubuntu0.2-amd64:core-9.20160110ubuntu0.2-noarch:security-9.20160110ubuntu0.2-amd64:security-9.20160110ubuntu0.2-noarch
Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS
Release: 16.04
Codename: xenial

Thanks

Reproducible: Always

I confirm this workaround / fix
For Linux rename / remove this folder: $USER/.local/share/kxmlgui5/digikam

Git commit 11c211685d5b11d5fa43a343952de3b590a1d0cf by Gilles Caulier.
Committed on 09/10/2016 at 12:20.
Pushed by cgilles into branch 'master'.

With 5.2.0 release Image Editor tools plugins interface was been removed to integrate distectly all tool in editor core implementation.
All actions managed by previous plugins can break emain editor menu if user has managed toolbar contents with these actions.
Renaming all older action from plugins with menu prefix must fix this problem in all cases.
