Description Víctor 2016-10-05 17:44:16 UTC
When second screen is connected the session restarts.
This no happens when starts the session with the second display connected but if unplug the monitor and plug again after a time (I have no look how much time) the session restarts.
Comment 1 Víctor 2016-10-05 17:45:14 UTC
The problem comes from Plasma 5.7.

Same problem here since 1-2 weeks. Tried with 4.8 and 5.7 kernel and still happens.

Session restarting would indicate that your X crashes, does it?
Comment 4 Simone Gaiarin 2016-12-01 13:01:21 UTC
Yes.

It's happening since few days to me, so it may be Plasma 5.8.4 or some kernel, Xorg update.

I see that others had problem recently:
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1670832#p1670832

but I'm not using Nvidia and also with a 4.7 series kernel the problem persists, so may be something else.

This other bug appeared at the same time, so they may be related:

Crashes in Xorg need to be fixed in Xorg, nothing we ca do about it, so I'm closing this bug as upstream and would ask you to check with upstream if it's reported and being worked on.
