Description davidhj 2002-01-07 13:55:30 UTC
(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: kate
Version: 1.0 (using KDE 2.2.2 )
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: SuSE
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (SuSE)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.4-4GB
OS/Compiler notes:

I think it is odd that the option to "show full path in Title" is part of the Settings menu and not in the Configure Kate... dialog.

My assumption would be that menu items are likely to be used a lot while the Settings dialog is used less frequently. I think the choice of what to put in the title bar is not something you change very much.

The first time I wanted to change this I missed it completely in the menu and searched through "Settings" tabs to find it.

Kate: Maybe it was closed because in KDE3 the option is indeed in the dialog. In KDE4 it's indeed in the menu.

Kwrite: it's always in the menu, which is correct.

It's now both in kate and kwrite in the menu. This is consistent and until now, no further complaints occured. Let it be this way.
