In my VFX and animations workflow, I very often have to handle image sequences from software to software. Kdenlive handles image sequences very well but proxying them won't work. This affects my workflow as they are to heavy to be edited directly in the timeline. Those file sequences take a lot of hard drive space and I would like to avoid generating more lossless (video) footage from them. I also would like to avoid proxying manually as it is not that straight forward with image sequences. I am using Kdenlive 16.08.1 / MLT 6.2.0 on Debian Testing Steps to reproduce : 1 - Load an image sequence into the Project Bin 2 - Right click on the loaded image sequence and check "Proxy Clip" 3 - Nothing happens. There is no output in the console. Thanks a lot for the amazing software and thanks for your help.
François, do you have proxies for *images* enabled? That is, as opposed to video proxies?
