Description Leszek Lesner 2016-09-17 17:43:34 UTC
A strange bug.
It seems like the mouse focus is lost and a click anywhere on the desktop executes/opens the currently marked icon.
The issue might be not in the Folderview plugin itself but can be a side effect of the corner/edge actions you can set for your workspace. I have set the upper right corner to show all my workspaces in an overview. And I only had this bug with this enabled and used.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Mark an icon in folderview containment .
2. Have upper right corner set to workspace chooser then go to upper right corner to have the overview of different workspaces shown
3. Click on the same you are comming from and then try clicking on the background not an icon

Actual Results:
It executes the last marked icon

Expected Results:
It should just remove the marking of the icon

I suspect a mouse focus issue that might be something to be addressed maybe in kwin or somewhere else aswell.
Also notice only tested on X11 not Wayland.

Also I think it might only happen if you are really fast clicking (so basically from the workspace overview perform something like a double click or tripple click).
And I noticed that this sometimes marks the home icon and executes it.
The problem is that its not easy to reproduce everytime.
So I made a little video demonstrating the issue. https://youtu.be/Z3cW5DhRrYg
I hope I am not the only one experiencing it.
