Description Freek de Kruijf 2016-09-15 11:20:01 UTC
Using lokalize 16.08.0 I have a project project file showing two folders, docmessages and messages.
Expanding messages I see the list of folders for the subdivision of KDE. Expanding one of the subdivisions, I see the .po files or sometimes the .pot files. Selecting a .pot file an opening it for editing I select "Save as..." from the "File" menu item in the main toolbar.

1. The first problem is that this brings dialog to save a file, which used to have the name of the .po already present in the text box used for the new file name. Now one has to fill this is, which is error prone.
2. The second problem occurs after saving the .po file an exiting the editor window. This shows the project tab, but in the tab the content is completely repainted and only the two top folders are shown. This used to be the same as it was just before selecting the .pot file.
3. After selection of a .po file for editing and exiting that window, the project tab used to be the same as it was before the selection. Using the Up or Down arrow key used to go the next or previous line in the project tab. This is no longer the case. Having expanded the messages folder it might jump back to a .po file in a subfolder in the docmessages folder.

Please bring back the behavior in this respect like it was before.

Reproducible: Always

There is still a problem in lokalize 16.12.3. The problem arises when a .pot file is present without a .po. After working on that file and saving it (as .po) and leaving the editing window/tab, the project tab is repainted. After opening another .po file for editing and closing, the project tab is repainted, the pointer in the project tab does not go to the just edited file or the next one, but returns to the edited .pot file.

The behavior has changed when only a .pot file is present or a file is overwritten when lokalize is active on that files, belongs to the open project. Packet is lokalize-17.04.2-1.1, version is 2.0.
After opening the .pot file, entering some data and saving the file as a .po file, lokalize shows the project tab and in the tab it behaves as if the project is completely reopened. Afterwards it shows the tab window with the highlighted file on the just saved .po files, as it should. However after opening another .po file and after saving, again the window with the project tab is completely rewritten and the highlighted line is on the previously saved .pot file, while it used to be and should be on the just closed .po file.
Also after processing another .pot file, the highlighted line is not on the just closed .po file but on the first closed .pot.
The project window shows also expanded folders that were not expanded when choosing the just closed .po file.
