Each plasmoid has a menu often with some specific actions and some generic ones (e.g. Alternatives). This menu can't be accessed from a touch screen. I'd expect this one to be available with a long tap. Reproducible: Always
Isn't the long press the only means on desktop environment? Why shouldn't it work on touch screens. (+bug -usability imho)
On a desktop you have a right mouse button? Adding Martin, iirc he said on Wayland we might be able to implement this.

Nope, we would only be able to implement that if the application doesn't support touch at all - that is touch to mouse emulation. As Plasma supports touch KWin cannot do anything about it. This needs to be handled in the application. I just tried on my touch screen as well and can confirm that it's not possible to change the configuration for any plasmoid in the panel on the desktop the handle opens on long press, though.
it is possible to get to applet settings. long press to get the handles press the settings button in the panel: toolbox click on applet click settings You can't get the context menu, but a context menu on a touch screen would be rubbish anyway.

That's true for widgets on the desktop, but for applets in the system tray, there is no way to do it with touch only.
Not a problem anymore in practice, since we made every action in the context menus available in the main UI with a left click/touch.
"Show alternatives..." option of System Monitor widgets is still not accessible with a touchscreen on neon unstable.
It's available without right-clicking in the pop-up menu thingy in Panel Edit mode.
