Description carion.nicolas 2016-09-12 18:31:01 UTC
When you freeze a video, it cancels the edge crop effect, no matter how you stack the effects.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Insert clip
2. Add "Edge crop" effect
3. Crop any edge by a positive amount
4. Add "Freeze" effect
5. Select Freeze after

Actual Results:
The video resets to original (non cropped) when frozen.

Expected Results:
The crops sticks even when frozen

I confirm this...

Just ran into this myself with Kdenlive 19.08.0, still happening exactly as described. It doesn't matter whether "Freeze Before" or "Freeze After" is checked, if the freeze is in effect then the edge crop isn't.

I just ran into this issue in 20.04.1. The freeze effect will also cause the transform effect to stop working, but only if the freeze effect is below the transform in the stack. Unlike edge crop, which never works.

I can confirm this too in kdenlive 20.04, ubuntu 20.04, exactly as described.

Confirmed. Still on 20.08.0 and git master.
