Description Pols12 2016-09-11 16:59:31 UTC
You cannot zoom out (clicking on toolbar button or using CTRL+mouse wheel) if the toolbar zoom input shows "Fit Page" or "Fit Width".
Zoom In is however possible (I believe previously it was impossible too).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a document (a PDF with 3 pages for example)
2. Click several times to Zoom in button: zoom increases. Go to the max.
3. Now click several times to Zoom Out button: zoom decreases until zoom input displays "Fit Width" (or "Fit Page" with landscape layout document).

Actual Results:
You cannot zoom out anymore using Zomm Out button nor with scroll wheel.
To zoom out, you are obliged to manually choose a smaller percentage in Zoom input of toolbar.

Expected Results:
Zoom decreases until input shows the minimum percentage (12%).

A specific case of this bug was already reported by bug 366449 (with another bug).

Same on Ubuntu 16.04.
Comment 2 Pols12 2016-11-01 17:59:11 UTC
Zoom behavior seems to depends on which document is opened. I will publish some documents with their associated zoom behavior at home for comparisons with other users.

Any solution to this bug?
Comment 4 Magnus Aagaard Sørensen 2018-11-17 12:26:26 UTC
I am unable to reproduce this issue in Okular 1.5.3 with any files I have locally.

Is it possible for you to attach any of the troublesome files to the bug if you still observe it, and post the Okular version as well (Help -> About Okular)?

After reviewing some other bugs, the behaviour seen here seems related to #342003. Can you confirm this is not related to "View -> Trim View -> Trim Margins"?
Comment 7 axel 2018-11-17 14:16:22 UTC
Yes, trim margins seems to be involved. I am running okular 1.3.3 on Ubuntu 18.04, and can confirm the problem occurs only when "trim margins" is on. I can turn the bug off and on by toggling "trim margins". It happens on with arbitrary file, as far as I can see.

Confirmed for okular master with "Trim Margins" on. For me the behavior is that with repeated clicks to "Zoom Out", the zoom level toggles between "Fit Width" and "125%".

duplicate of bug 342003 ?
Comment 12 Laura David Hurka 2019-06-09 17:03:29 UTC
Seems that this is not reproducible anymore whithout Trim Margins enabled, so people adapted this bug report to include it.
